This book was published in 1881 by Frederick Warne and Co. Ltd in London and New York.
There are two identical pages as so-called endpaper.
The copyright page is here but the date of publishing is not.
The main attraction of the picture book are of course Miss Greenaway's vignettes. There are plenty.
Scenes from childhood are one of Kate Greenaway's specialties. The other is children's outfits.
The title page is another example of the illustrator's style.
Info about the printer is so important (Edmund Evans was leading authority at the time), it is given at the beginning and at the end. With more vignettes, of course.
Miss Greenaway often dedicated her works to kids who played with her and served as her models.
We are finally at the contents. There are about 50 songs altogether, so two pages (decorated) are necessary.
The songs follow. Each page with one song and one illustration.
